OXFORD, Maine – Ten seasons after his on-and-off driving career began
as Oxford Plains Speedway, John Lizotte has joined his champion father
as a feature winner.
Once again mother nature crashed the party at Wiscasset Raceway. Track officials were hopeful to get in the scheduled program at "Maine's Center of Speed", but for the fourth time this season were forced to pull the plug due to a heavy blanket of drizzle and fog moving through the midcoast region. The full pre-race practice schedule was run leading up to the start of the show, but the decision was made to stop the program just prior to the 5:00pm start time with the intensity of the drizzle increasing. As a result fans missed out on their opportunity to see the True Value Modified Series in its first ever appearance at the states fastest track. The Wiscasset Ford 100 will now be rescheduled as part of the Saturday August 9th program. Plans for makeup races for track's weekly racing series divisions have not been announced. Wiscasset Raceway will next return to action Saturday July 5th at 5:00pm with action in all six weekly racing series divisions plus a huge fireworks show to celebrate the Independence Day holiday. For more information, call the Wiscasset Raceway office at (207) 882-4271 or check the track website at www.wiscassetraceway.info.
LOUDON, N.H. (June 27, 2008) - Eddie MacDonald reached Victory Lane for the first time in 16 NASCAR Camping World Series East career starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Friday evening in the Heluva Good! Summer 125.

Newburgh, NY June 22, 2008 – The ALNRS teams arrived at Lee USA Speedway Friday afternoon all geared up for another exciting night of racing. However Mother Nature appeared to have other things on her mind. Just after the teams signed into the pits and began to park their haulers the sky opened up and the track was blanketed with a severe thunderstorm. The storm passed quickly and the sun came out, quickly drying the track. As the Teams completed their first round of practice the skies opened up again. After the second brief shower the speedway crew jumped into action, quickly drying the track for a great night of racing.

The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) super late models have completed a third of their 2008 schedule and there’s yet to be a repeat race winner in either the North or South divisions.
After a week off watching the bugs getting zapped in the bug zapper, The New Spirit of Unity Raceway was ready to hit the 1/3 mile oval again. This week saw the return of the Thursday Thrilla racing program. The Ladies division hit the track with a great mixture of seasoned veterans and young guns. The heat race saw the #00 of Alicia Goodwin fighting #92 of Carol Wilson. The door to door racing didn't stop the pretty pink machine of Chelsea Young from taking the lead and never looking back. The feature saw the #18 machine of Young take the lead and show her fellow competitors that she hadn't forgotten how to get around Unity Raceway. Young took the win for her first trophy of the season. Former Monsta Mini driver, Billie Allen, followed in second with Molly Feeney third.
