Augusta, Maine – Turner, Maine's Ben Rowe is the 2007 PASS North Super Late Model Series champion. Ryan Lawler, of Mooresville, North Carolina, is the 2007 PASS South Super Late Model Series champion. The last time Rowe and Lawler faced one another was at the season ending "Meltdown" at Concord Motorsports Park in North Carolina in November. Ben won the 200-lap race and Ryan wrapped up the PASS South title with a twenty-third place finish.

Happy Holidays! With the first five honorees of the “Top 25 ACT Drivers of 2007” in the books, we continue our countdown this week with a look at drivers 20 through 16. Here’s a look back at drivers 25-21 from last week:
(Nashua, NH) December 17th, 2007 – NASCAR has announced a new title sponsor and 2008 schedule for the Grand National Division. The NASCAR Camping World Series will kickoff it's eastern tour at Greenville-Pickens Speedway (Greenville, SC) on April 19th, 2008 with the season finale at Stafford Motor Speedway (Stafford Springs, CT) on September 28th, 2008. Events will be televised live on SPEED and HDnet.
WATERBURY, Vermont – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing organization has announced a nine-race schedule for the 2008 Série ACT Castrol in Québec and Ontario. Launched under the name “Série Nationale Castrol” in 2005, the short track Late Model tour took ACT sanction in 2007 and enjoyed a very successful year.
17-Year-Old Humbled By Banquet Experience and Standing Ovation
MOORESVILLE, NC (December 17, 2007) – Joey Logano has been living the dream this year and the 17-year-old does not want to wake up. The NASCAR Busch East Series awards banquet at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort was the culmination of that dream year, as Logano was officially crowned the 2007 Series Champion. Logano, who is the youngest champion in the history of the Busch East Series, was also awarded with Rookie of the Year honors.
Chris Staples has become a legend in the PASS Modified Series, with 11 career wins, which is almost more than double then any other driver in the 4 year history of series. The only driver that comes close is Jason Taylor with 7 career wins in the PASS Modified Series. Staples winning the 2006 & 2007 PASS Modified Champion is now looking towards the 2008 season.

• Top Performer of the Year
o Jimmie Johnson – Jimmie Johnson won his second consecutive
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series championship, becoming only the second
driver in the past nine seasons to win back-to-back championships. He
won a series-high 10 races, including four races in a row in the Chase for
the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. Johnson posted 20 top-five and 24 top-10
finishes on the year. His average finish in the Chase was 5.0, as he was
truly dominant when it counted the most.
WATERBURY, VT – Marjorie Fay will step down from her position as Director of Marketing and Advertising
from the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing sanctioning body, which also operates Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT, effective December 13. Fay was hired to the organization as Director of Media in 1985, and held several positions in the company during the last 23 racing seasons.
